More Than Your Usual Dose.
Welcome to the new and improved official JIL Worldwide website. Since our birth in 2002, the JIL Worldwide Website has evolved from an informational catalog website to a dynamic and interactive arena for members and visitors. Traditionally, we provide our visitors web links, profiles and contacts about our chapters and their activities from different parts of the world and some resources they could use for Bible studies and teachings. Instead of dishing out the usual, we have come up with an interesting mix of segments and menus that are based on what appeals to you – our web guest.
One of our main features in this website is called ‘MILK and MEAT’ – undeniably the symbols of nourishment. MILK is a collection of devotional teachings while MEAT is a compilation of academic articles of various kinds dealing with theological issues. So take your pick between the two and we are sure either can satisfy your spiritual appetite.
One of the major challenges of the MIS Team is to use technologically advanced and cost effective means in broadcasting the Gospel to the most number of people possible. This year has been a major breakthrough because of live streaming technology. We have used LIVE STREAMING to broadcast teachings, tutorials, concerts, even seminars. We have jointly spearheaded a pay-per-view concept in cooperation with Musikatha Ministries for the event entitled “Intimacy with God” – A three-session conference featuring Bob Sorge that may be watched live online without having to leave home. Through the internet, together we stream, we worship – LIVE!
We have a new segment strategically positioned in the home page called I LOVE PINAS – Travel Diaries. This segment uses an alternate route in inviting guests to attend a JIL service near their areas. This segment will run a travel blog that will feature tourist destinations and travel experiences that can offer travellers ample ideas to explore while sharing to readers the JIL services schedules of the featured destinations.
We also have put up our Online Store – TENTMAKER. All products of Musikatha can be bought here using major credit cards. This store can also carry other products from suppliers so if you are interested in retailing your products, contact the webmaster of this website.
We all know about the tragedies brought about by typhoon Ondoy from last year. iCare has been one of the front liners in helping those in need in times of disaster. iCare has spearheaded projects that have helped thousands of Filipinos and it has been a major vessel in bringing the Gospel closer to people. We have allotted a special segment for all existing projects of iCare. Assistance and volunteer work are still needed, and if you want to help iCare, you can donate online to any of their projects by clicking the iCare logo from the home page.
Putting up a well designed website is the easy part. Finding the right workers and volunteer writers and designers who have the heart and passion for Christ and for this dynamic and technically sophisticated ministry is the more challenging part. We have endured too many discussions and consultations to come up with the best mix. Yet perfection seems to be too far from our reach. But a passionate web team willing to do anything for God makes all the difference in being able to minister and touch the lives of those who visit the website.
