RESOULTION NO. 168

RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE JESUS IS LORD CHURCH  WORLDWIDE, UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF BRO. EDDIE C. VILLANUEVA, ON THE CELEBRATION OF ITS PEARL ANNIVERSARY ON OCTOBER 5, 2008

WHEREAS, on October 5, 2008, the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JIL), under the leadership of Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva, JIL Spiritual Director, will celebrate its thirtieth (30th) founding anniversary with the theme “All Peoples Worship His Majesty”;

WHEREAS, after thirty (30) years of following God’s law and leading under God’s rules, the JIL has exploded from a bible study of Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) students to a phenomenal constituency of more than five million (5,000,000), expanding internationally with more than a hundred chapters worldwide in thirty-eight (38) countries outside the Philippines;

WHEREAS, Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva has continuously inspired the growth of the JIL church as a Christ-centered, bible-based ministry established in the Philippines and spreading to all continents of the world-reaching out to Filipinos to become God’s bridges to other nations and cultures

WHEREAS, Bro. Eddie’s ministry today is touching many millions more through his TV, radio, literature, audio-tape and video ministries, the JIL Christian Schools/JIL Colleges Foundation, Inc. and through the JIL worldwide ministries;

WHEREAS, its primary mission is to bring all people to live righteous lives founded in Christian principles, regardless of race, color nationality and religious affiliation through the saving, healing and delivering knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ;

WHEREAS, beyond the religious mandate that the JIL Church Worldwide has pursued, it has also been instrumental in uplifting he lives of the Filipinos in fighting social ills such as poverty, moral decay and, most especially, corruption: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, as it is hereby resolved by the House of Representatives, To commend the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide, under the leadership of Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva, on the celebration of its Pearl anniversary on October 5, 2008.
