        “… God made you grow. It's not the one who plants or the one who waters who is at the center of this process but God, who makes things grow” (1 Corinthians 3:5b-6, The Message).

        Born in prayers and nurtured in faith, the Jesus Is Lord Church – Cauayan in Isabela started with only five faithful attendees on June 21, 1994. Their small number however did not keep them from pursuing the Lord’s commission to make Christ and His Gospel known to all people. 

        Stepping in faith, they rented a place in Quezon Street, District 1, in Cauayan City which they turned into a house of worship.  Not for long, however, then acting pastor, Sis. Maribel, left for abroad.  Hence in the second quarter of 1995, God found another yielded servant in the person of Sis. Elena Tangonan, then a music ministry member, who continued to pastor the Church.

        Despite the sudden changes, God did not disappoint His faithful servants in JIL-Cauayan.  From the original five attendees, the number significantly grew to an average of more than 60 attendees per Sunday worship service.  The breakthrough growth necessitated their transfer to a bigger place of worship.  On February 7, 1999, JIL-Cauayan’s first Sunday worship service was held in Albano Building located along the National Highway in San Fermin, Cauayan City.

        The Church also went through trials and difficulties. But true to form as the Lord’s faithful followers, the brethren only held on much tighter to God and His promises.  They were able to withstand the tests which further strengthened them and their faith in God.  The Lord amazingly turned their situation around and birthed fresh revival in their lives and ministry.

        The faithfulness of the brethren yielded greater blessings for the Church.  Through offerings, pledges, and donations from leaders, workers, members, and supporters, God blessed JIL-Cauayan with a 500 square meter lot.  By faith, the new worship center is soon to be constructed.  

        At present, JIL-Cauayan has over a hundred regular attendees, eight Bible study services, and an outreach in Luna, Isabela.
