“The ultimate function of a prophecy is not to tell the future, but to make it.” – W. Warren Wagar
It all starts with a dream. There is no reality that was not first a dream. A dream that became a claim. A claim that became a plan. A plan that became a reality.
“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
When the dream is born from the heart of God, He instructs. That dream, too, becomes a plan – with His Word as the map. What do you do while you’re on that map?
You look to the light of His Word.
You let His Word light your path.
You follow that path.
You live each day faithful to that path.
And you live each day, fighting for the fulfilment of the dream that has caught your heart a-fire.
Because, when all is said and done, prophecy is not really fortune-telling. It is the ability of the heart to hear the heartbeat of God, to listen to His voice and to be sensitive to His promptings. It is the ability to tell the future by living your life, day-by-day, faithful to the dream you dreamed together with Him.
Because you know, at the end of that path, in that future – when Life has turned full circle… all you really did was find the pathway… to our heavenly…HOME.
