JIL Worship spearheads Worship Symposium 2021

The Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide held its worship symposium at the JIL Prayer Garden in Bunlo, Bocaue, Bulacan last July 24. JIL Worship spearheaded the assembly, carrying the theme “Worship 24/7: JIL DNA.”

JIL Worship Director Ptr. Sam Binalla kicked the event off, saying the reason behind the symposium is connected to the theme of JIL Church Worldwide, “Prepare for Eternity.” “We should be training our hearts since our worship here on earth reflects how we would do it in heaven. If we cannot passionately worship God now, we cannot passionately worship Him in heaven,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bishop Bro. Eddie Villanueva urged Worship and Arts Network (WAN) ministers to view worship beyond songs and hymns. “Real worship that pleases the Lord is not just physical gestures inside the worship service. It is living out the Scripture, the Word of God in your daily life,” he said.

The symposium speakers’ line up was completed by JILCW senior spiritual leaders, whose messages centered on the sole purpose man was created: to worship God. The exhorters include Executive Director Rev. Renato “Bobot” Bernardo, Central Operations Director Rev. Virgie Hernandez, and National Operations Director Rev. Alex Garcia.

Other members of the Executive Management Board (EMB) also graced the event. Vice President Rev. Jovi Villanueva-Binalla and Evangelism and Church Planting Director Rev. Noel Casimpoy led the delegates in powerful prayers.

A video presentation featured pioneer worship ministers namely Ptr. Dino Tobias, Ptr. Rannie Adela, Sis. Beng Mendoza, Ptr. Robert Aquino, and Ptr. Jess Maghacot. After looking back at their memorable worship experiences during the early days of the JIL Church, they encouraged the younger generation of worshippers to continue serving God with gladness.

The symposium also highlighted updates on the upcoming and ongoing activities of WAN. On the list are WAN workshops and Upper Room, a 24/7 worship and prayer chain.

With pandemic restrictions in place, symposium participants present in the venue were limited to WAN coordinators from the Central Operations, who underwent antigen testing before being admitted to the venue. Meanwhile, other WAN coordinators and the rest of WAN members from all around the Philippines and the world joined the event via online platforms.

JIL WAN is composed of Voices in Adoration (VIA), Jesus’ Army of Musicians (JAM) and Triune Movers, Elyon Doulos, Artists for Christ in Total Surrender, and Movenerate (TEAM). ###
