Senate chief Sotto cites unifying influence of JIL

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III cites the unifying positive influence of the Jesus is Lord (JIL) Church Worldwide as it celebrates its 41st anniversary in front of a massive crowd of members at the Quirino Grandstand, Luneta Park.

“Nagpapasalamat ako na maimbitahan sa momentous occasion na ito (I am thankful to have been invited to this momentous occasion)” Sotto said, “but more than just a thanksgiving celebration, I can sense that this is a manifestation of unity of the Jesus Is Lord Church.”

“Ang pagkakaisa ninyo ay makakatulong sa pagkakaisa at kabutihan ng ating bansa (Your unity would help in the unity and advancement of our country),” said the Senate President.

Invoking the JIL Mission statement word for word, Sen. Sotto urged JIL leaders and members in continuing “to bring all peoples to the kingdom of the living God regardless of race, status, beliefs, and religious affiliations through the saving, healing, delivering, and transforming power of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Together with Sen. Joel Villanueva, Sen. Sotto presented Cong. (Bro.) Eddie Villanueva with a copy of the unanimous Senate Resolution citing JIL’s contribution to the moral and spiritual transformation of the country.

The Senate chief also paid special mention of Cong. (Bro. Eddie), now a Deputy Speaker in the Lower House, for becoming a member of Congress.

“May the love of Christ be with you all, and let the Holy Spirit be your guide in fulfilling the glorious plan of God,” Sotto concluded.
