Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. (Romans 13:8)
Are we devoted to God? If we say yes to this, then we should also be devoted to others: family, friends, relatives, neighbors, classmates, officemates, even strangers. How can we claim to love God yet dishonor our parents, betray our friends, hate our relatives, despise our neighbors, bully our classmates, spread rumors about our officemates, or disregard strangers?
We cannot choose whom to love because God sent His Son for everyone. Not just the likeable or the loveable, but everyone. Especially the unlikeable and the unlovable.
