Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)
Ours is a personal God. That is why we draw near to Him and connect to Him in worship. But while that is true, He also is a holy God.
So let us not just draw near to Him. Let us draw near to Him with a pure and holy heart. More than just singing and dancing, more than just the bowing of heads and the lifting up of hands—more than all these outward manifestations—the worship our holy God desires and deserves, is the offering of our lives, holy and pleasing unto Him.
