Congregations from different local and international chapters of the Jesus is Lord (JIL) Church gathered once again as they celebrated another year of God’s glory and faithfulness. They travelled unrelentingly to be part of this year’s celebration and hear new revelations from the Lord during the event. As one JIL family, they heralded their rekindled passion to pursue living a holy life.
Bro. Eddie delivered a resounding message that emphasized the last days’ call for sanctification, consecration and holiness. “Let us desire to have a sanctified life, for without holiness, no one can see God,” said Bro. Eddie as he quoted Hebrews 12:14.
JIL members were overwhelmed as they testified.
“Kailangan nating lumakad at maipahayag sa mga tao ang kaligtasan para maranasan din nila yung holiness,” said Sis. Nida Ortega of JIL Cubao. This was her personal commitment after hearing Bro. Eddie’s anniversary message. She also acknowledged God’s power moving through the life of Bro. Eddie: “ang kapangyarihan ng Diyos ay kumikilos sa kanya.”
Bro. Brian Licuanan of JIL Bunlo (Bulacan) also shared his realization during the anniversary. “Unang-una po, kailangan po nating isapuso yung katuruan ng DIyos na binigay Niya po sa atin sa pamamagitan po ng paggamit Niya kay Bro. Eddie Villanueva… Hindi lang po dapat natin sinasambit sa ating pag-awit, pagsayaw, ito po’y dapat nangagaling sa puso.”
Peace will surely live in our lives when we have our hope in Jesus. This is Sis. Priscilla Cruz’s testimony. The brethren from JIL Sta. Ana, Bulacan said, “Manatili tayo sa Panginoon. Lahat ng problema natin sa buhay, lahat ng pag-aalala, ibigay natin sa Panginoon, at Siya na ang bahala.”
As he appreciated God’s favor, Bro. Juanito De Guzman of JIL Montalban testified of his personal experience as he surrendered his life to God. “Ako e, ang buhay ko ay pinagpala ng Panginoon dahil sa katapatan ko sa Kanya. Ang mga anak ko eh, nakatapos silang lahat ng kolehiyo, na dati walang wala kami. Noong nakita ko ang kabutihan ng Diyos sa buhay namin, nagkaroon kami ng kapayapaan sa loob ng tahanan. Si Jesus ang naging sentro ng aming buhay.”
He further expressed his joy to be physically present in this year’s celebration.“Ako po’y tuwang-tuwa… kahit anong oras matapos ito, tatapusin namin dahil alam naming nandito ang Panginoon. Hindi iyon mababayaran ng kahit anong bagay, ang mga pagkakataong ganito, minsan lang sa isang taon ito.”
Join us in becoming ambassadors of peace and holiness in our society. With Jesus as the Lord of our lives, our church’s declaration for this year will surely be a reality.
