Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— (John 1:12)
Entry into eternity is based neither on our benevolence to others nor on our service to God; entry into eternity is based on our relationship with God.
As we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and triumph on the Cross, let us also reflect on our relationship with Him by honestly asking these questions:
• Have I received Jesus in my heart? Have I given Him not just a room in my heart, but my heart? All of it?
• Do I believe in His Name? Have I put my trust in Him? Have I entrusted my life to Him that I can truly say, ‘Your will be done, Lord’?
May our answer to all those be a resounding ‘AMEN.’ But if not, then, now is the time to do so. Now is the time to receive Him. To believe in Him. To accept His offer and be His beloved child.
