VISION CASTING 2021: PREPARED FOR THE YEAR, PREPARED FOR ETERNITY

News

“Prepared for 2021, Prepared for eternity!” This is the declaration of the almost 2,000 pastors, church coordinators, fulltime staff, and Christian Youth for the Nations (CYN) core leaders from all over the Philippines and the world who joined together via Zoom and Workplace for the Vision Casting of the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JILCW) last February 17, 2021, 8:00 pm PST.

Conducted annually, the vision casting is a venue through which the plans and programs for the year are laid down. This year’s event was even more anticipated given the many changes due to the current global situation amidst the pandemic. As proof, despite the differences in weather, location, and time zones, delegates from as far as Australia, the United States of America, Canada, and Europe participated. Equally excited were the pastors and church coordinators from Visayas and Mindanao who also joined the event.

Though it was the first Vision Casting done through a virtual platform, the passion of the participants remained uncontainable. Relentless praise and thanksgiving were offered to God, followed by a united, whole-hearted prayer led by one of the JILCW Operations Directors, Rev. Virgie Hernandez.

Rev. Edelisha Jovi Villanueva-Binalla, JILCW’s Vice President, formally opened the event by challenging the delegates to pursue revival no matter what the cost may be, especially in this precarious season when the Lord calls the church to be His instrument of love, hope, and compassion.

Pastors and church coordinators intently listened to the message of the Lord delivered by Rev. Bobot Bernardo, JILCW Executive Director, as he journeyed the delegates to each of this year’s monthly themes, crying “I am consecrated, I am devoted, I am fired up, I am redeemed, I am holy, I am emboldened, I am recharged, I am vigilant, I am free, I am involved, I am alive, and I am chosen. Therefore, I am prepared for eternity.”

Following his preaching, Ptr. Bobot also discussed the future plans and programs for the JILCW, to which the delegates responded with much fervor and excitement.

After being empowered by God’s message, the pastors took home the final charge from the President and Spiritual Director of the JILCW and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Bishop Bro. Eddie Villanueva. He intimately shared the vision of God for JILCW and encouraged them to step up for God’s assignment.

Rev. Joey Crisostomo, the Director of the Bro. Eddie School of Ministries International (BESMI), capped the event. He left an encouraging message to the pastors and challenged them to continue pursuing their calling despite the challenges ahead.

Concluding the event were songs of victory echoing from the homes of the delegates and a thanksgiving prayer led by Rev. Edgar Valdoria.
